Our board and train program is intentionally boutique and highly personalized. By working with only a small number of dogs at a time, we’re able to provide each one with the focused attention and tailored guidance they need to thrive. Dogs in our program live in our home and are fully immersed in a real-world environment where training happens naturally throughout the day.
We offer two program options to meet the needs of each dog and household: a three-week basic obedience program for dogs who need to learn foundational skills and everyday manners, and a four-week (or longer) behavior modification program for dogs struggling with reactivity, aggression, fear, anxiety, or more complex behavioral challenges.
Throughout their stay, dogs receive 24/7 structure, supervision, and hands-on guidance. We focus on building strong daily routines and reinforcing calm, respectful behavior—but it’s not all work and no fun. We strike a healthy balance between training and play, giving each dog time to decompress, explore, and just be a dog in a safe and structured environment.
This home-based setup allows us to address behaviors as they naturally arise and help your dog learn how to navigate everyday life with confidence and self-control. It also creates a deep, trust-based relationship that supports long-term success.
Once your dog graduates from our program, they’re always welcome back. We offer boarding exclusively for Monument City Dog alumni, so your dog can return to a familiar, structured environment with people they already know and trust—whether you're going out of town or just need extra support.

This program is designed for dogs who need clear structure, improved daily manners, and foundational obedience training. Whether you’re starting fresh with a young dog, settling in with a new rescue, or just need help reinforcing boundaries at home, this program lays the groundwork for a calmer, more cooperative companion.

Behavior Modification Board & Train
Four-Week Bootcamp - $4,750***
(WE ARE CURRENTLY BOOKED FOR BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION PROGRAMS UNTIL MAY 2025).
Ideal for:
This program is designed for dogs struggling with more serious behavioral issues that go beyond basic training. If your dog’s behavior is creating stress at home, limiting your lifestyle, or making it difficult to enjoy daily life together, this immersive program offers the time, structure, and individualized support needed to create real change.
It’s a great fit for dogs dealing with:
Leash reactivity (lunging, barking, overreacting to dogs, people, or triggers)
Aggression to people or dogs
Fear-based behaviors, low confidence, or nervousness in new environments
Separation anxiety or crate distress
Resource guarding (food, toys, space)
Excessive barking, jumping, or pushy behavior
Trouble with visitors, vet handling, or grooming
What makes this program different:
Behavioral issues often stem from more than just a lack of obedience—they’re rooted in a dog’s mindset, nervous system, and inability to cope with pressure. That’s why this program focuses just as much on helping your dog feel better as it does on helping them behave better.
We use a combination of clear communication, structure, decompression, and thoughtful exposure to the dog’s triggers—all at a pace they can handle. Your dog will be guided through carefully planned experiences to build trust, develop coping skills, and increase emotional stability. We also work on foundational obedience, so your dog leaves with both improved behavior and better self-control.
Includes everything in the 3-week program, plus:
Customized training plan based on your dog’s specific needs and goals
Longer duration to allow for deeper behavioral shifts
Carefully structured confidence-building and desensitization work
Targeted sessions to address reactivity, fear, anxiety, or overstimulation
Real-world outings as appropriate (parks, pet stores, public spaces)
Frequent updates and open communication throughout the process
Go-home support, including a 2-hour handoff session and 10-page guide
One free in-home follow-up session after graduation
Lifetime email and text support
Eligibility for alumni-only boarding and optional tune-up programs
